About this Workshop
The “First Gen Summit's Student Planning Committee on Collaboration” workshop aims to give participants a clear understanding of collaboration and its importance within the First Gen Summit (FGS). The session opens with speaker introductions and an icebreaker to set an interactive tone. Each team will then provide an overview of their role within the SPC: Julia will introduce the Content Team, Keku and Iri will explain the F&T Team's responsibilities, and Testimony will highlight the contributions of the Marketing & Graphic Team. These presentations will give participants insight into how collaboration is integrated across teams.
The workshop will then explore the fundamentals of collaboration, focusing on its importance in team dynamics and offering practical strategies for building collaboration skills. Participants will take part in a hands-on exercise, “Moving Chess Pieces,” which simulates real-world collaboration scenarios to foster teamwork and problem-solving. The session will wrap up with a Q&A, giving participants the chance to ask questions and discuss the key takeaways from the workshop.
